Eaton Reduced Voltage Soft Starters: Compact, Easy-to-Use Controllers for Smooth Motor Acceleration.

Eaton's reduced voltage soft starters are compact, multi-functional, and easy to install and program. They are designed to control the acceleration and deceleration of three-phase motors, with current ratings from 0.8 A to 1,000 A.

The DS7 soft starter can be easily installed in place of existing soft starters, wye-delta starters, or across-the-line NEMA and IEC starters. It uses a voltage ramp start method to gradually increase the voltage to the motor, resulting in a smooth and controlled startup. Users can set the initial voltage and the duration of the ramp.

The soft stop feature allows for a controlled stop of the load when a stop time greater than the coast-to-stop time is desired. This is useful for high-friction loads where a sudden stop could cause damage.
