LUTZE LOCC-Box is the new generation of electronic current control. Over the last few years, LUTZE has continued to innovate the successful LOCC-Box current control family. This ensures installation, connected technology, and control cabinet performance is improved without compromising on its unique features.

The upgrade of the LOCC-Box allows a completely tool-free installation within the control cabinet. Now instead of the cage clamps that are usually used, the LUTZE uses the future-oriented Push-In technology and therefore offers a much greater clamp gauge. Ergonomically arranged blue actuators allow easy dismantling of the conductors. The new modules have a test opening; the proven slit for the bridging system continues to ensure less wiring effort.

LOCC-BOX Background.

LUTZE LOCC-BOX known as LUTZE Overload Current Control has become a quasi-standard in many control cabinets. This is due to its patented trigger behaviour along with its defined characteristic curves, the LOCC-Box allows the creation of selective voltage supplies. In the event of an error, only the affected circuits are shut down, and the other unaffected circuits can continue to function.

What is new to the LOCC-Box?

The LOCC-Box housing has now reduced in size and now is 8mm thinner which allows more space and free-flowing air within your control cabinets. A spring has now been integrated within the device base which improves the hold significantly, which leads to the device sitting securely on the DIN hat profile.

LUTZE LOCC-Box's new rounded design aids innovation and handling efficiency, and installation is smoother and easier. In addition to this, engineers have equipped the device with additional LED functions that notify the user about the actual and target settings.

Intelligent Current Control with LOCC-BOX

LUTZE LOCC-Box electronic overload and short circuit monitoring meet the requirements for selective shutdown with high cable impedance and integration into the existing communication level. This overload current control device stands for a new generation of Industry 4.0 technology.

At all times the LOCC-Box device provides safe wiring protection for the switching of capacitive loads. The system stores errors and thereby prevents the reoccurrence of the disturbance at the next switch-on. The error reporting with the LOCC-Box uses hardware or via Gateway to different field bus systems.

Additional features such as Gateway communication capabilities for remote monitoring and analysis are possible with the LÜTZE LOCC-Box Net. Optional LOCC-Pads software offers the possibility for custom parameter setting, analysis, and diagnostics. These are just some of the intelligent features of the LUTZE LOCC-box.

The LOCC-Box-Mlocc-box-mini

Thanks to its technical features, the LOCC-Box family has been a pioneer for electronic control for many years, be it with or without a bus connection. The proven portfolio has now been expanded by a further member.

The proven flexible current range setting from 1 A to 8 A and the unique setting of the 5 tripping characteristics have also been incorporated into the new miniature version of the LOCC-Box. Direct connection of the consumer with plus and minus allows further potential savings for procurement and installation.

The LOCC-Box-M therefore rounds off LUTZE current control range, especially for small control cabinets and switchboxes.

Advantages:

  • Optimum construction size
  • No additional serial terminals needed.
  • Reduction of procurement, storage and service cost
  • Reduction of installation costs
  • Prevention of standstills
  • Time savings and absolute flexibility
  • Adjustment to the load type
  • Universal for any application

First choice for circuit protection

For more than 15 years, TIGR, a French company, has been a leading force in designing and manufacturing innovative solutions for heating and cooling buildings. LUTZE's expertise lies in providing individually configurable district heating and cooling stations, including magnetic dirt-resistant filters, pressure-maintaining stations, and more. These systems contribute to the efficient and effective thermal management of district networks.

LUTZE LOCC-Box systems are seamlessly integrated within terminal boxes, offering real-time control and monitoring of district heating stations. Large grids often encompass dozens of these stations, spanning vast areas. This necessitates comprehensive protection for the terminal box's various outputs.

The 716409 innovative module offers precise current settings ranging from 0.2 to 2 A in 0.2A increments, making it ideal for low-current applications like the new LOCC-Box system. It demands a mere 72 watts of power, translating to a maximum
current of 3 A.
